Knit ties!

Knit ties are a great alternative to the silk variety found almost everywhere.  I particularly enjoy wearing them in the fall because they add an unexpected texture to an outfit.  Certainly, a knit tie in a bright shade of blue, as shown above, would look great during the warmer months.  Notice the tie pin (also called a stick pin); an accessory first donned by wealthy English gents during the early 18th century.  They are a sure sign of sartorial excellence.

A burgundy colored knit tie with a blue oxford-stripe shirt is a classic combination that looks great on pretty much any guy.

Khaki-Navy-Red super combo. Can't go wrong.

No Shave November

Although I am not participating in No Shave November (due to the fact that I cannot grow a full beard) I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize the importance of checking your balls (which is what No Shave November is all about).
As a testicular cancer survivor, I can certainly say it's not something to be taken lightly. I don't think men receive enough attention about this issue as women do about breast cancer; men should not be ashamed to speak openly about serious health concerns that affect our brothers, dads, uncles, and friends. Checking your balls is an easy task; after a hot shower, using your insex finger and thumb, feel for any lumps. Also, if you experience lower back or abdomen soreness and pains, these may be symptoms of testicular cancer. Consult your doctor.

I picked up these handsome G. H. Bass wingtip tassel loafers at a local Savers for ten dollars this Veterans' Day! I can't quite explain the feeling you get when you encounter incredible finds for so cheap; it's almost like the item was just waiting for you to claim it as its owner. I love wearing this type of shoe for two reasons - 1: they look so cool in the summer when worn without socks 2: in the fall/wintertime the design of the shoe allows for the wearer to showcase his kick-ass happy socks.
This is how I will share what most inspires me. I'm a menswear enthusiast with a special place in my heart for thrift stores. Few things excite me more than impeccably tailored suits, shirts, tassel loafers, and tequila.
